  1. I have a problem with the new version of DVDShrink.
It reads the dvd in the drive, but when I hit "BACKUP", the following message apperars:

"DVDShrink encountered an error and cannot continue. Copy protection error. The request could not be performed because of an I/O device error."

I have check marked the "Region Free" box.
Seems this version does not disable copy protected dvd's. I say this because I tried this new version with both an original dvd and a copied dvd, it worked fine with the copy but not with the original, that's when that message comes up.
I never had this problem with the previous version.
I have to use DVDDecrypter first in order to use DVDShrink 3.1.

Has anyone had this or similar problems and if there is a way around it, what can I do?

    Thanks

  2. Yeah I noticed the same thing - I also noticed that if you remove a part of the DVD (i.e. the "coming soon to dvd" section, which in my case was VOB_03) then it comes up with an error saying that vob_03 is missing. Shrink 2.3 didn't do this.
