I'm going to assume you are not just trying to yank somebody's chain, and actually are as ignorant about this as you appear to be.

What you are thinking of as a "Soundtrack" is a term used by the music industry to describe a CD containing a compilation of all or most of the complete performances of music used in a given movie, usually as background music.
The audio files that exist on a movie DVD consist of the dialog, sound effects, background music, etc. that you hear as you are watching the movie. You cannot separate the background music from the dialog, sound effects, etc. without a whole lot of expensive equipment, which you probably do not own. The background music usally fades out after a few seconds, whereas a "soundtrack" CD album will contain complete performances of the songs from beginning to end.
