Hi,
I've installed an NEC 1300A dvd writer and following the advice of a number of forum users, bought a spindle of Ritek Datasafe G04's as I can see they are a very reliable disk.
I am running winXP on a 1500 Athlon chip and I'm finding that 90% of the time I try burning these disks, the burning fails with a 'Write Error', part way through burning the track (at differing parts). I have tried flashing my drive with firmware 1.07, 1.08, 1.09 and an unofficial 1.08v2 but I'm still getting the errors.
Has anyone any idea if this is just the media - I can burn PCWorld's PCLine 2x media with 100% success rate.
Any help would be useful !
Ta,
Winty
