Or you can use my fav
    vcdtoolsX

just open the app, go to the vcdXrip button and choose your .bin and push start.

the mpeg file will be in the same folder your .bin is in

    enjoy!

(if you dont have a .bin but have .img or some other form of disk image you just rename to .bin)
If you have the CD itself, just use toast to save it as a disk image to your HD, then remame from .toast to .bin, then run the app

you can get it from versiontracker.com

Ok I'm having problems with this. I used toast and created a .toast file from my VCD disk. I renamed the .toast .bin. I went into vcdtoolsx and clicked the first button. I selected the .bin file and a place for the output. It ran for like 8 hours and I stopped it. How long does it take?

I see nothing about your comptuer specs in yoru profile

what type of comptuer do you have?

for me it takes only a few min.

    8 hours seems excessively long.

did you check to see if you got any file saved as your destination?

    I'm using a 12" Powerbook G4 867Mhz with 640 MB of RAM.

Never mind. False alarm. The funny thing was when I opened VCDtoolsX the vcdXrip and vcdXgen did not have icons. The box was blank. I quit VCDtoolsX and relaunched it and the icons were there. I tried it again and it worked.

sometimes it happens for me too.. but not as you mentioned

for me, you click start and nothing happens
you quit, reopen and reset the paths, and that time it works...

VCDGearX is another program that works very well. My preferred option.
