  1. I tried burning a bin/cue using the burn image option with nero. Afterwards I put the cd in my drive and it says CD is inaccessable. What did I do wrong? I have burned BIN/CUE before successfully.

  2. Nero should never be used to burn CUE/BIN images, especially images of VCDs. It can do a number of things incorrectly including the following: http://www.hvrlab.org./~hvr/vcdimager/nero_bug.html

For those who don't know the significance of this bug, it will essentially prevent an VCD with menus from functioning properly.

The best program to burn CUE/BIN images is CDRWin. Other programs that can burn CUE/BIN images include CDRDAO and Fireburner.

CDRWin and Fireburner are commercial proggies though demos are available.

CDRDAO is open source freeware. You can download the latest build (including Win32) by searching for CDRDAO with Google. There is a Win32 GUI for CDRDAO called "XDuplicator" that works quite well. Again, search for it with Google to find it for download.

  3. I have tried using fireburner, and cdrwin. But I have an external burner, and it asks for aspi manager. I understand that aspi manager only works right in internal burners so I can't use these programs. Is there something I am not doing right, or could be doing to get this to work?

  5. Ionizer7,

You may need to install a ASPI layer... There is an Adaptec proggy (free) called ASPI Check that checks your current ASPI layer and if it has been installed correctly. There is another proggy called ForceASPI that will install the latest version of the ASPI layer on your PC.

Search with Google and you should be able to find them for download.

I hope that this solves your problem.

    Regards.

That's not true! I have the external HP 8230 burner and CDRWin works great!

I only dream in black & white...

    Hi,

    Here the method i used:
    1. load bin/cue to virtual drive (daemon tools)
    2. perform CD COPY using nero

Do you refer to the above method or something else ?
