I am so confused right now. I have a few dvds that I want to back up, but I don't want to have boring menus with it. I want to try to use DVD-Lab to make the menu ( is it any good?). What I don't understand is how to import the movie into it. Can I use DVD-Shrink and then import all the files that it makes into it or I can only use DVD-LAb with mpeg files?

Also does any one have any suggestion for authoring programs that will allow me to make attractive menus.

Use something like DVDDecrypter to extract the audio & video streams, then import them into DVDLab, which by the way is an excellent program and should be more than sufficient for your menu creation concerns.

  3. DVD-Lab will work with MPEG or VOB files. It seems to work best with elementary streams.
