Hi,
I have read in various places that the afforementioned DVD-ROM drive is capable of reading DVD-RAM discs (created using my Panasonic E-50 DVD Recorder). Nero InfoTool also says that the drive should read DVD-RAM discs.
However, after trying a couple of different DVD-RAM discs in the drive, I have been unable to read either of them. The drive simply says there is no disc in the drive, presumably because it can't read the format.
Can anyone help me with regards to this? I was originally going to buy a Panasonic DVD-ROM drive for the sole purpose of reading RAM discs (so i can do some editing on my pc, then burn to DVD-R). But if my drive is capable of reading RAM discs are I'm doing something stupid, or need to upgrade firmware, then it would save me needlessly buying a new drive.
Thanks,
m0ns00n
