ADVC 1394 install gets data is invalid error from driver

I can't get past the driver instillation.
I've tried the fix on the Canopus support (edited registry) and their "filter patch", neither of which worked. If anyone has had sucess getting past this issue, HELP...

After further study, I can see why I get no response. This board is friendly with motherboards based on Intel chipsets only.
Guess it is just not a consumer oriented product if more than half the people out there can't use it.

So I made some comments under the capture card listing about this and the next guy comes along with this,

Sorry that some people don't know much about computers, but I switched mine from Win2K to XP machine without a single problem.

So because his worked fine and mine won't install, I don't know anything about computers ? There's some REAL help. Surely someone out there has something to add. Anything ?
