    Hi all,

When I use WOMBLE MPEG to trim a part of a MPG file, I've noticed it has a strange behaviour....

If I just choose the "mark-in-out" points, press the save button, name the new file and press "save" again, it does it in a few seconds - OK.

But, if I check the audio/video settings - EVEN WITHOUT CHANGING ANYTHING, JUST CHECK IT ! - it takes HOURS (!!) to save the trimmed video

All I can gues is that it re-renders the MPG even if the user don't change anything when checks the actual settings.....

    Any comments ?

  2. Your guess is correct. That's the reason. So if you have already compliant MPEG files for whatever your target (DVD, SVCD) is - never change anything. Just do 'Save".

    Cooper,

That's the point, it unnecessarily re-renders the already compliant files if I just check the settings - EVEN WITHOUT CHANGING ANYTHING

    Isn't it too strange ??
