  1. Two questions: In Nero Express when you get to the step to add your DVD video files to the compilation, the default file types are "DVD-Video file types (*.bup, *.vob, *.ifo)". Why is there no mpg?!!?! MPG is like the most common format I thought?! Also, What are the Audio_TS and Video_TS folders. If I have an MPG file in DVD format it includes the audio and video all in that one file. So, which folder does it belong in?

    Thank You!

We use the MPEG-2 DVD format to do most of our editing. When we are ready to convert it, we use an authoring program or a Nero plugin to make the BUPs, IFOs, VOBs, etc. files to be burned to the DVD. I use
IfoEdit and this guide to author my files for my DVDs. Use Step 2 - Authoring, Then proceed back to where you were with your DVD files and burn, baby, burn.

MPG-2 files need to be converted by the authoring process into the types of files mentioned above. Now if you are using an MPG-2 file you had on hand, you will have to author it with any of the available programs discussed in this forum.

If you are copying er,,, backing up an DVD you own, you really have no need to author anything. It has been done for you be the company that published the DVD. Rip it to your HD will DVD Shrink or wahtever suits your fancy and bur the files and ONLY the files that it produces directly into the VIDEO_TS folder that Nero produces when used in DVD/MOVIE mode in the starting wizard. Click on burn. That's it!!!
No DVD can withstand the power of DVDShrink along with AnyDVD!
