TMPGE Error - .mpg can not be created

Hello,

I need help. i am trying to convert avi to mpeg2 using TMPGE.
First the avi wont load. After reading thru few posts I changed the priority under the enviromental setting ->VFapiplugin and made the direct show multimedia reader as a high priority.
The file then loaded. i did my settting and did a preview all worked fine. When click on start to create teh MPEG I get an Error

File xxx.mpg can not be created.

Can any one help

ok now when i try to convert a avi file that i converted with no problem this morning. I get teh same error.

any ideas???

ok, now after trying to do some more changes i get a new error saying

vbf buffer size is too large for selected level???

what does that mean.

please give ideas for all the three errors

ok it worked. i played around and it worked. As far as the vbf buffer size error. i entered the bit rate speed in the wrong field and obviously it was too big....

if any one else got the same error what did u guys change??
