I was 51% through encoding and I got the error Invalid Floating Point Operation. Can someone tell me what this might be. Thanks

  2. Let's see, you're using TMPGenc and are trying to convert a movie. The avi has bad frames, so TMP crashes on it.
What I do is frameserv the movie from v-dub to TMPGenc, and my problems are solved. Never failed yet. (Knock on wood)

  3. yep. Floating point errors almost always come from frozen frames in AVI files. i once downloaded a movie with frozen frames in thE AVI file, and encoded it without error, when i burnt it, all the frozen frames were there and the qudio/video sync was affected. I actually only encountered the error when i used version 12a to encode. When it came to the frozen frame, it stopped encoding and gave the floating point error, all the later version encoded after the frozen frames, and didnt enoucnter the error
