  1. I have a broken MS-MPEG4 file I am trying to repair with VirtualDub 1.5.4. Whenever I try, VirtualDub shows a message that says "Reconstructing missing index block". So far, so good. But after it finishes with that, I get an error message that says: Couldn't locate decompressor for format "MPG4" (Microsoft High-Speed MPEG-4).
VirtualDub requires a Video for Windows (VFW) compatable codec to decompress video. DirectShow codecs, such as those used by Windows Media Player, are not suitable.
Where can I find the codec I need to fix this file?
    Thanks in advance.

Try GSpot to find which codec you need, then go to the Tools section at left to see if it is listed.
    Hello.
