  1. I have a Movie File MPEG and I need to crop it and convert it to widescreen to later burner as a VCD.

    Can u tell me what prog can i use or gimme a link for the crop and widescreen thing.

    I"m confused with the articles been trying for a month now!

  2. Try TMPGenc.

    Load the video file and go to click on SETTINGS. Then select ADVANCED tab and file and double click on CLIP FRAME. This will allow you to "crop" the video.

    If you are not familiar w/ TMPGenc, there are many guides here that will give you a leg-up on getting the most out of this GREAT program.

    BicubicResize and AddBorders tags do the trick rather nicely with an AVISynth script.

  5. Not really sure as I have never tried to convert a non-widescreen movie to wide-screen. You may try looking at the options in TMPGenc (SETTINGS/ADVANCED/VIDEO ARRANGE METHOD) and try different settings with a short clip (SETTINGS/ADVANCED/SOURCE RANGE) to see if any of the options will achieve your goal. This would be after you've made the adjustments in CLIP FRAME.

    Some of the guides may be helpful in understanding the end-result of VIDEO ARRANGE METHOD selections.
