Hi
what i am trying to do is make a backup of my dvd i just want the main movie no extras i used dvd decrypter to rip it with the option select main movie it selected 5 vob files and 1 ifo (VTS_13_0.IFO)so i ripped them.
But the files were too big to burn so i went into Dvd shrink to reduce them slightly but everytime i click open files and select the ifo file an error message comes up saying file not found.
I think i am not ripping enough files from the dvd but i am not sure what others i need.
cheers for any help
steve

dvd shrink decodes from the source disk, if you want it to fit on one disk after you decoded use dvd2one.

gotta rip ALL the files for Shrink to work. Else do a workaround with the main movies files with IFOEdit. Since you are new to this (i'm assuming) just rip them all. good luck

Welcome to the forums, steveloveday.
As noki suggested, you will need to rip all the files for DVD Shrink to work (unless you then used IfoEdit to create the missing IFOs).
But if your goal is to make a movie-only backup, you can simply use DVD Shrink "Re-author" feature.
If you're not familiar with it, I'd suggest you view the following guide:
- for v2.3: http://www.dvdshrink.info/re-author.php
- for v3.0b5: http://www.dvdshrink.info/re-author-v3beta5.php
@ handyguy,
DVD Shrink can work both from the original DVD or from ripped files.
