  1. I'm having this problem and it's killing me , normally I don't have any problems with codec's , software or anything , I have always used the same things to play my files and it has never failed but I want to try something different and this is when things when funny.
I installed a version of powerdvd SE since then my video files are all green no matter what I play them in . so I thought I would back track things and remove PowerdvdSE and put my Powerdvd 5.0 delx back on but this did not fix my problems .
audio if fine but the video in green which sucks , I read else where that updating my video cards' driver may fix this and with my luck it didn't do a thing.

my video card is a 9600 pro OS is xp pro , Dx9.1a WMP 9.0

please post any fixes you may think of , I will post any other info people may need.

    Thx chimera

You didn't specify the kind of file you are having trouble playing but I'll take a shot in the dark and guess that it's Xvid. In which case install FFDSHOW. First use G-spot to find out exactly what kind of file you have if you are unsure.
