  1. I'm using MPCHC (build 1.5.2.3456 ) to play mt2 files. But they're playing back with green noise (see attached screen shot). I've tried all rendering modes and none of them work. Default mode is 'EVR Custom Pres'. The files play back fine in Windows Media Player and via Allshare through wifi to my Samsung TV. The file specs are as follows. Any ideas ?

    MPEG Transport-Stream File
    24 bits, 1920 x 1080, 25 fps
    Upper Field First
    (HDMV-PAL), 16:9
    H.264 Video
Video data rate: Variable (Max. 17608 kbps)
    Audio data rate: 256 kbps
Dolby Digital Audio, 48 KHz, 2/0(L,R)

  2. Try switching the state of the internal MPEG 2 decoders.

View -> Options -> Internal Filters -> Transform Filters.

    Also the MPEG source filters.

I unchecked H264/AVC (DXVA) and H264/AVC (FFmpeg) and its now working fine. I've tried all my other avi, xvid stuff and that still appears to be ok. Is there anything I should look out for with those unchecked ?

  4. Oh, sorry. For some reason I thought it was an MPEG file. With the internal h.264 decoders disabled you will be using whatever DirectShow h.264 decoder is available. I suspect the problem was the DXVA decoder. You might try turning the software decoder back on (ffmpeg). Also try upgrading to the latest WHQL certified drivers for your graphics card and try the DXVA decoder again.

If I turn the software decoder back on ( with DXVA still off) it still as the green noise. I've checked the graphics drivers and they're upto date.
