  1. some time ago I made a lot of QT files

when I play them now, they start off with a brief green screen.

    Ive noticed this elsewhere.

    why is this?

these seem to be all .mov files ive made w previous versions of QT

    cheers and thanks

made with previous versions of QT, but what codec used to make the files,
    old friend?

I've seen this a plenty with files that were Divx3 avi's that were resaved
as self contained movies, but were still using the Divx 3 codec for
    video.

    Still OnTop of things!

    glad to see!

Info on QT tells me this:

    3ivx 4.5.1

    Now A Much Bigger Question:

How do I 'Grab' the info screen on QT?

you click on something and Its Gone!!!!

    cheers

Then press the space bar and move the cursor over the info screen. It will highlight. Now press the mouse button and a screen shot of that window will be saved to your Desktop.

    what brother rumple said...
Go over to www.3ivx.com and get the 3ivx codec.
Shouldn't need it with Perian installed, but if the videos don't
play, and are green, you'll need the codec.

If you have the codec already installed, then you might dig up
a copy of Divx Doctor II and convert the files to .mov,
    whcih should resolve the issue.
