Alright I know this has probably been discussed a thousand times but here goes:
I have the TV Deluxe card on a Windows 2000 pro with plenty of RAM and over 2.0 GHZ processor and whenever I use the Mpeg-2 codec or the AVI-Huffy codec to capture TV it is very choppy.
The only time it really isn't choppy is when I use mpeg-1 normal quality. Does anyone have any suggestions for the codec or what default settings I should use to capture?
My goal is to capture sporting events and than burn them onto DVD.

are you using a motherboard with a via chipset? i heard some of them have a via latency problem when capturing, via have a download patch on their website that is supposed to fix it. i have never used it, even though i have this capture card and my jetway mb is a via chipset, it seems to be ok on mine. i do mpeg in best quality, it works good. i capture to a fast slave hard drive, not to the same drive that the leadtek software is one, as i think that is better and aids that whole process.
