  1. Im having problems with TMPGenc converting my Avi files to Mpeg2 for DVD authoring. At one specific point in the conversion, the video will stick and freeze, then continue to play as normal. However the Audio continues therefore i lose video audio synch. I use Virtual Dub to check for errors and freezes in the AVI file which come up as all ok.

I also use Virtual dub to prepare my audio wav file.

On occasions have have avi files that are fine, but lately more and more become useless to me...

I have searched and searched the forum for this problem with no joy, so any help would be much appreicated.

    Thanks Knockout!!

Sometimes Vdub will not catch all the bad frames. If you know where the video freezes then you can mark either side of it and cut it out, using Vdub of course. There's a guide on Editting with Vdub in the guides section.
