    I ahve a problem similiar to this one

    but the above response didn't tell the OP how to do it, and besides that its almost 5 years old anyway.

    During my wedding, the still camera woman repeatedly got in the way of the video camera, and got really close to us for repeated close up shots. I was caught up in the moment enough not to notice at the time, but watching the video now, she really messed it up.

    I would like to freeze the video as we are standing at the altar, while the audio of the minister keeps running. Then towards the end when the camera woman gets out of the way have the video resume.

    I have window 7 and windows movie maker, but am open to suggestions on other software if anyone has any. But I need pretty specific instructions on how to do what I described above. thanks

    There are probably a 100 ways to do this but what's concerning is you're trying work with basic editors like WMM. Try using a better editor to get the job done right. In your case, I'd simply cut out the bad video, take a snapshot of the last frame you're working with, and insert it into the timeline. Other editors have a freeze-frame option where this is done for you.

    thanks i just googled freeze frame option and video editor and found that avs editor has one will be trying it soon
