    I've just given a Ritek G04 -R disc to a friend who reports screeching through the audio and out of sync playback.

    What could be the causes?

    Could be a few things,might be the player cant handle the dvd too well or a bad burn or improper authoring.

    The disc will play fine on his DVD Rom player. The burn and author is ok as I've tested this myself.

    His standalone plays -R discs ok. Would this be a Surround sound problem?

    The disc is 2 channel PCM.
