  1. Any ideas?

Yesterday i downloaded the 30 day free trial of Ulead video studio..i am currently searching for the best piece of software that'll allow me to drop directly in .mov files (apple quicktime movie trailers) and burn direct to dvd..now video studio lets me do this but it takes almost 30 minutes (sometimes more to do just one 2 minute trailer) the rendering process seems to go fine until it reached about 70% then it takes an age to complete, i want to burn a storyboard of about 10 trailers but am frightened how long this may take?...i have a powerful PC and am running zero other applications whilst the rendering is taking place...any ideas would be most welcome..

    cheers

I do not know why VS 7 seven does not like your system. However you may want to try this work around.

    1. Set your Project Settings for NTSC DVD.

    2. Load your clips and save them as a DVD-MPEG-2 file. Use TMPGEnc to demux the files into an m2v and an mp2 file, but save the mp2 file as mpa.

    3. Load both files into IfoEdit under DVD Author. When you run it into your DVD folder, you will get your DVD files. Burn these with Nero.

  3. Hi Tommyknocker, thannks for your reply. You were the guy that replied to my original thread a few weeks ago and advised me about video studio..I would like to understand your advice a little more, i am only a beginner

When you say "set your Project Settings for NTSC DVD" is this project settings in Video Studio or TMPGenc or what??

When you say "load your clips and save them as a DVD-MPEG-2 file" my clips will be in .mov format, can i save these in vid studio as DVD-MPEG-2 or are you again possibly talking about TMPGencPlus...my 30 day trial has expired and i have no MPG decoding facility anymore...

When you say "use TMPGEnc to demux the files into an m2v and an mp2 file, but save the mp2 file as mpa"...i think i can cope with this

When you say "load both files into IfoEdit under DVD Author. When you run it into your DVD folder, you will get your DVD files. Burn these with Nero"...infoEdit is a seperate download right, i'll get it from tools section, when this process is complete i should have a dvd file that i can burn with nero?..what format is the end file in then?

Sorry for some basic questions but as i say im am new and learning..

    cheers

    Steve

Yes, IfoEdit is a separate program, and you get it from the Tools section at left. When IfoEdit is done, it will make several files, all of which you put in your VIDEO_TS folder in Nero.
