  1. Hey guys

I was reading this guide http://www.dvdshrink.info/mixed-compressions.php

And I just wondered does this method mean I can only make a 'movie only backup' using Mixed Compression???

Im making a full copy of a DVD but what I wanna do is goto the part the credits are at and tottally turn down the compression levels, i.e. have about 80% on the movie and 30% on the credits, which end of the day nobodys watchs but id like them to be thier.

Im currently making a backup of 'LOTR: TT EXT Edition' and disc 2 has huge credits, anyhow I got the felling you can only do 'Mixed Compression' when your backing up 'Movie only' just wanted to know if I could do it to a full backup cause I wanna keep the nice chapter menus from this film.
Verb media and never a problem....

I don't think you can use that method in full disc mode, that's not to say it's impossible to do though

it all depends on the disc structure and whether or not you could do it an easy way

the easy way is to reauthor just the movie to a certain size to allow for shrunken menus(lets say 4GB). Stick the resulting DVDShrink movie VTS back into the complete DVD and use Get VTS. Run it through DVDShrink again reducing just the menu's(to 0.37GB) and keep the movie at 100%

if its a multiple PGC VTS then you cannot use this method

I'm sure there are other methods but this is one I would suggest
