  1. Everytime I encode progressive video with TMPGenc, I end up with the jitters. I'm encoding for DVD, 720x480, 16x9. 3:2 pulldown, 24.976 internal. Still get the jitters. Any ideas what I'm doing wrong here?

    Thanks,

Have you changed the field order to see if it helps?

  4. If it's progressive there is no field order, and I assume you meant 23.976fps (because if it's really 24.976fps that could be the problem). How are you adding the 2:3 pulldown? This can be tricky in TMPGenc (which I no longer run so i can't remember which of the settings/boxes is correct).

But I suspect that could be part of the problem. Try loading the NTSC_FILM VCD/SVCD templates and comparing them to what you're specs or maybe another forum member can post how to set up TMPGenc for pulldown.

I was JUST about to say that, Vejita!

You really did mean 23.976, yeah? 'Cuz 24.976 is PAL, and your resolution (and the use of the 2:3 pulldown) indicates an NTSC player, right?

Try encoding something short with the plain old NTSC-DVD template and see if it plays jitter free. Just like a 5 minute file or something.
