  1. I am have an Svideo plug in and the quality is really good I was wondering, what I do to be able to get the audio so I can comine them to make a good rip, since coax video quality has tons of static

  3. That would depend entirely on what sort of hardware you are trying to connect, since you have given absolutely no indication of what you are using I have no answer for you.

    If you are connecting the sound output from a VHS deck to your sound card, that appears to be the proper cable. But I wouldn't get a 12 footer unless you really need it, and if you do, go for a more expensive cable. Long audio cables are a sure way to get AC hum into your sound card. Keep them short.
