    Hello I am trying to connect my Sony Handy cam to my DVD players SVIDEO Jack using an svideo cable does anyone know if SVIDEO carries the audio as well ? I connected it but got no audio, video was fine. Now I can connect the yellow red and white RCA jacks and get both video and audio just fine.

    S-video does not carry audio. You'll need the red/white RCA jacks.

    S-Video carries video information only. The white and red cables are your audio. The white is left channel and the red is right channel audio.
