I'm trying to install R6 Raiven Shield and when i click on setup a window comes up with this message:
install shield wizard 6005 error:
-close any running programs
-empty your temp folder
-check internet connections (internet based setups)
Did anyone have that problem before?

I deleted everything in the TEMP folder, and no other application is running...i don't know what to do with the third option.I disabled the win xp firewall option but it didn't help. What "internet based setups" means?
I also uninstalled Norton Antivirus. -
Typically it simply means that you should be able to go online. My second thought would be that it wants you online when you install, but if you can't have any other programs open, then you couldn't be online unless you're on broadband.

I tried that too.I' m connected (dial-up) and still the same message.I think its something about the install shield wizard because other people are having this problem too ( i checked in a relative forum).I also tried to install it from an image file but didn't work too...

have you tried installing from safe mode?
update internet explorer (and windows).
i've also heard that for some programs you need to have the .NET framework installed.
if everyone is having the same problem then i'm guessing there is actually something wrong with the program itself. -
You can download it from windows update
