  1. After exploring DVDx and TMPEGEnc for a while, I have discovered that 100000 frames = around 680mb, at 336x288 resolution and 44100Khz. What I want to know is, how do I enter the number of frames to be encoded past 100000? What I mean is after I have encoded the first 100000 frames, say of a 148345 frame movie, how do I enter the last 48345 frames of the movie?

  2. DVDx: You can only rip from 0 -> specified frames, no range. Go to Export tab and click "Whole", the entire DVD will rip.

TMPGEnc: Read the tuturial on DVD rip, you can easily specify start and end frame, its how I split for two VCDs. I batch two DVD rips specifying start/end, and go to bed. TMPGEnc has my 4 VCD 2.0 MPEGs ready to burn when I wake. Yaaawn..

Sidenote: Dont try to specify frames with TMPGEnc when using DVDx to frameserve, its a big system hang thing!
