    PC Configuration:
    WinMe
    AMD1000Mhz
    DVD X COPY Platinum
    Polaroid DVD+-RW, CDRW

Based on my research this new Polaroid DVD burner bought from FRY'S ( http://www.outpost.com/product/3795236 ) really have no infor online or support..wonder if it's either the burner or Windows is the culprit.

When ready to Burn here's what the error indicated:

Platinum has caused an error in PLATINUM.EXE
    Platinum will now close.

If you continue to experience problems, try to restarting your computer.

The DVD X Rescue has the same error too.

    Any ideas?
    TIA,

rqtball, you obviously don't know anything about the program he is using. Burning with Nero is not the answer. DVDXCopy Platinum is a all in one back-up program. I would suggest several alternatives, first chance, ditch WIN ME and update to WIN XP. In light of that, grab, yourself the latest update for the program on the 321 Studios website. They have released a few updates since going public with that version a couple of months ago. Another alternative would be to grab yourself DVD Shrink under the tools section to the left. Grab the guide also. The resulting files that DVD Shrink produces can be burned with NERO 5 or 6 and or Record Now. Please post back if you get stuck or need more guidance.

Ok..I upgraded to WinXP doesnt seems to get me the error...but playback a Movie it keep stalling/skipping still like in WinME...about 1 sec.. tried most DVD softwares ..PowerDVD seems to be the best..but still do not get good audio and video (latest driver installed for XP). Even the preview in the DVD X COPY is stalling. Is this possible be the processor not render fast enough? What other option can I try? Is there a free DVD decoder for XP I can dl??

    Any HELP!!

  6. I dont think its the processor...I have a P3 that is 3 years old and it converts slower than my new P4 but I have never had a problem. I have also converted on my laptop which is an old amd

Have you tried DVD Shrink? Its free....click on tools on the left and you will find it there.

When you are converting leave the computer alone and dont have anything else running...try closing everything down so JUST the program is converting...

    rqtball,

What I mean is when playing a DVD movie (a Master not even a copy) only PowerDVD seems to play but it gives me the stutter audio and video. I spend like 3 days in a roll on this project now.

    Any ideas?

    AMD Duron 1G
    512MB.

I think is something wrong with the PC. I cleaned installed to WinXP still not playing movies properly. Updated the ASPI drivers, etc..with no avail. The movies is just like 28 frames per second (frames slow, frames seems skip, like video accerlator not catching up to the movie, audio is bad) wonder if is the Audio (sound card that causes the slow?). However, playing MP3s, CD Audio files is fine, etc..

    Help!!
