  2. Could be a problem with codecs. I would uninstall all codecs. Check your file in gspot and then only install the relevant codecs. Stay away from packs such as nimo.

  3. it says i have two audio codecs installed that should be able to play this file:

    Nero
    AC3

Should i uninstall nero --> if so, how do i just remove its audio codec and would this prevent some features inside the burning program?

    THANKS

  4. Does Gspot report that it is in fact an AC3 audio stream? If so, and if you have the AC3filter installed, it should play fine.

What does Gspot say when you click on "render"? Can it render the audio stream?

Also, if it can render it fine, then check your sound card settings to make sure the audio isn't going through the digital output only, bypassing your analog speakers, some cards allow this.

If all else fails, download virtualdubmod from here:

    http://prdownloads.sourceforge.net/virtualdubmod/VirtualDubMod_1_5_10_1_All_inclusive.zip?download

And use it to simply open the audio stream and save it as a WAV. Then you can convert it to any format you want and reinsert the new stream into the container, disabling the AC3 stream of course. Just make sure that you choose "direct stream copy" from the video menu before you save the modified file.

    Hope this helps,

    Prospero
