  1. My friend used a TV card (AverMedia) and recorded this SDTV clip.
He can hear the sound but I cannot.
I have ffdshow installed and can see the video from Media Player Classic.
I have already tried uninstalling ffdshow and installing 3ivx but still no sound.
VLC doesn't even play it correctly. There is no sound and the video is jerky.

A weird thing is that while the file is supposed to have AAC audio as its video is H.264, MediaInfo shows that it is AAC but Gspot says it is AC3.
I tried using Yamb with MP4Box to extract the audio information, but still the audio track could be extracted.
Could someone help me find a correct codec for it or tell me which tool is able to extract the audio track from it?
    TIA.

Bad muxing. I had to use Avi-Mux GUI to extract the ac3 track.
Neither MPC nor Avisynth could detect the audio part.
YAMB incorrectly identified it as an aac stream and
    generated garbage as output.

    clip.ac3

  4. Thanks for the reply, guys.
It is indeed AC3 inside the .mp4 。
The stupid recording software put an ac3 within an mp4.
