hi, i have had a pioneer 105 for about a year now, and recently the films
have had a lot of skips in them, and just stopping at certain parts,
usualy nearer the end of the disc, have never had this problem before.

i have just used a allsop cd lens cleaner which seems to have made it
slightly better but its still doing it a lot.

any ideas? have used it a awful lot in that time and this first time have
    tried using a lens cleaner.

i use ritek g04 and datawrite yellows 4x mainly, which before everyone says its princo discs, even though datawrite yellows are its doin it with the ritek as well but i have never had this prob befre every disc have ever done has always been perfect, until recently

    thanks

not that it helps you much --- but you should be able to get at least 10,000 copies from a 104 or 105 -- in a clean roon that is , smoke and dust and high humidity is bad .

you should never have to clean the lens (we never do) ...

    i always record at 2x

ive just done a disc from a different pack of discs (same brand though) and the film appears ok, have been usin the ones from a 25 pack of discs and they have all appeared to come out crap, but this one from the other pack seems ok, is it possible for the whole batch from the other pack to be bad?

    thanks

  5. Yes, it is possible to buy a batch of DVDRs that is mostly bad. I haven't come across that in a long time, but about 8 months ago I got a bad batch of discs. Luckily the place I bought them from (supermediastore.com) took them back in exchange for a new batch which was good.

  6. I second that, given that i have just opended a brand new pack of Princo 1x DVD-RW and i canīt even erase the discs in either Nero,RecordNOW Max, Easy CD/DVD creator and so forth.. I usually have no problems using these discs, but not 1 in this pack has worked, the progs wonīt even recognise the discs as writeable
If it aint broke, donīt fix it.
