I've brought my Pioneer A05 about 6 months ago for $180 and now the dual Pioneer A06 is around $130.

Because the dual drives are out, 8.5 DVD burners will be shipping soon, and blue-ray technology is about to spawn. They are trying to unload their DVD-R inventories before they get stuck with them.

why is this DVR-106D $135 and the other DVR-A06USPK4 for $168? They are both dual and it shoud be the same model. 106 = A06. -
'cos one is OEM - bare drive only, while the other is RETAIL, e.g. it comes with cable, screws, manual, sample blank DVDs....

one is the OEM version (Original Equipment Manufacturer), so it's a bare-bones drive in a white box with (possibly) limited software.
the other is the retail box, like you'd buy off the shelf at the local superstore.
EDIT - Dubber beat me by 6 minutes...
double check the description - it's possible that the only difference between the OEM and Retail versions is the box - some OEM versions will have the same software disc, special cables, etc., some won't.- housepig
