I have been using Vdub-MP3 to check for bad frames. From the resultant badframes.log files I remove the bad frames but I go 1 frames foreard and 1 frame back from the badframes.

The guides say I should move forward to the next key frame and also back to the previous key frame. This method will remove some good frames also.

    1) Why should I lose good frames by moving to key frames
    2) If i don't use the key frames will I lose audio sync?

    Thanks

Frames other than Keyframes aren't all there. If you remove a frame
you should remove all frames after it up to and not including
the next keyframe. Frames after a Keyframe need information
from the previous frame to be decoded. If you delete a frame,
the next frames after it can't be decoded until a new Keyframe shows up.

Edit: That doesn't apply if you save as something without keyframes
    or frameserve it out.
