problems with burning but only sometimes.

Just bought a new pioneer drive a06 and am very pleased with it. But sometimes it says succesfully done (imgtool burn) but when i play it in my dvd it freezes at some stage, normally the start of the film. When i just fast forward past that point there is no problem what so ever.. Should i update the firmware 1.06 now, or am I missing more RAM or something. Tried on many brands now, and its only in about 1 out of 8 perhaps this error happens...

sounds like a media problem...although those freezes and skips are usually later in the movie.

Do you burn with IMGtool? Try burning with DVD Decrypter.

and buy some RitekG04 discs.
