Do they have to be the exact same covers? I mean, just get a pic from anywhere and design your own. Heck, you can probably even get the exact one from any website and save it, load it and print it.

If you've got a digital camera, you could take a picture of the covers. It works surprisingly well.

How about a simple screen capture , reduced in size and printed out?
Power DVD caputes stills from your movie..This way your copy could be different from everyone else's...and SPECIAL

no doubt you own these titles but misplaced the cover right?

This site is usually pretty good:

    http://www.dvdcoverart.com/dvdcoverart/

EDIT: just re-read your post saying you've alredy tried them - they have a few of the ones you want. I suggest being less picky about the cover region etc. - after all, if you already have the originals then an exact copy of a cover is not so important. Or take what artwork they have and modify it to your own requirements in Photoshop or Paint Shop Pro.
    Regards,

    Rob

the second sentence of the ORIGINAL POST makes it very clear that he's been to the site you suggest.
He said alredy the covers weren't there

Did you read any of the posts before adding that link?

I suspect you just wanted to post that graphic and I'm predicting you'll be warned not to post stuff like that here..there's plenty of places on the internet to do this..
Here we read each other's posts and respond about VIDEO MATTERS
I have already tried DVDCoverart.com and CDCovers.cc for these

  11. www.mega-search.net which I suggested searches loads of different cover-sites; I've been able to find covers for things I never expected to be available - it saves a lot of hassle getting the scanner set up etc.. (I don't have room for mine on the desk )

It's best to have a pop-up blocker and lots of patience with some of the cover sites it comes up with though.

    cheers,
    mcdruid.

  12. You don't need a scanner! Obviously you have an internet connection. Search the web for images that fit your source material and use a photo editing or some other similar program to custom build a cover. It's not that difficult, I do it all the time.

LOL, it was funny. Cmon, we all gotta have a chuckle now & then. Maybe not be too harsh though. It was still funny.
I never thought I would see Yanni and Rambo mentioned in the same post or Predator and The way we were. LOL, I shouldnt talk tho, im a zep freak and the ole lady luvs Karen Carpenter while the kid luvs eminem and Shania twain. Go figure

  17. I guess it's called variety ??

My kid listens to George Jones, Britney Spears, Tammy Wynet, Sha Na NA, Spice Girls, Cletus T jud all on the same mp3 disk in about that order!
Oh yea, toss in the theme from Titanic! NO comercial disk would ever have the compilation style she has created for herself, that's for sure!!
And she made it that way herself from disks we own, not just a random group of mp3's!

As for covers, Power DVD is good for that. Grab some nice stills from the movie and make your own. Works great for the pics, though if you want all the movie details for the case it doesn't do that.

Also you can go to online sites that sell disks. Often they have the pics for the disks and covers, 0r the details of the movie you could use for your own case design. Like basic summery, stars, etc..

Good point... like the Internet Movie DataBase and Amazon.

They often have decent(ish) images of front covers, at least.

    cheers,

Thanks everyone for your help. My aplogies to gavmeister if I took his comments in the wrong way. Does anyone know of a guide anywhere which will show me how to make my own DVD covers. I am new at this obviously but would like to give this a shot. Thanks again for your help.

Also, www.cdcovers.cc has a lot to choose from. I know the URL is CD covers, but they mostly have DVD covers.

  21. djmattyb - no offence mate, but that's not the first time that site's been mentioned in one way or another! (actually looking back over it, one poster has removed their comments, as they had a colourful image in their sig.)

The mega-search site takes in cdcovers.cc - so if a cover's there it will find it for you, if it's on one of the other "...more than 450 cover sites on the web.." that it searches, it will find it there also.

Enough plugging of that site now though, I think!

golfnut - I think there's a guide on making your own covers - have a look in the guide section over on the left.

    cheers,
    mcdruid.
