I have seen a Topic on DivX w AC3 to DVD in this forum https://www.videohelp.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=186739&highlight=divx+dvdr
which provides a great guide. However I am in the middle of converting a DivX w MP3 audio to fit on a DVDR, and I was wondering if there are any significant differences in the outlined procedure for AC3 to be used for converting mp3 audio.

Correct, if it is not a VBR mp3 (which causes problems for TMPgenc). Also, that will produce an mpg with mp2 audio, which some DVD players cannot handle. AC3 is compatible with ALL DVD players (as is PCM, but this is not compressed and takes up too much space for many peoples liking).Originally Posted by CobraDMX
