When I try to "import asset" in adobe Encore it gives me a message that says it does not support this type of file or it may be corrupt. I have tried an avi clip and a mpeg project. both say the same. The only thing that I havn't tried is a avi project that I have edited in Adobe premier, but I don't know why that would make a diffence.
On a side note I can import a menu from photoshop.
Any ideas or suggestion would be appreciated

Of all the problems I have had with Encore I haven't had any problems importing assets. I would assume the stream you're importing is corrupted somewhere. Use TMPGEnc or Premiere to reauthor it to something and see if that cleans it up enough for Encore to take it. I'm pretty sure it won't allow importing of certain codecs as well like divx files. What MPEG compression is the other file in?
