  1. I just downloaded DVD Shrink 3.0 beta5, and wish to try it on a harddisk-catalog that containes the following backup:

    vts_01.idx
    vts_01.lst
    vts_01_0.ifo
    vts_01_1.vob
    vts_01_2.vob
    vts_01_3.vob
    vts_01_4.vob
    vts_01_INFO.txt

When running DVD Shrink I encounter a problem. The only file it will try to open is the vts_01_0.ifo Then program halts saying:

    'Failed to open file'
'The reason is: The system cannot find the file specified'

I see from the tutorials, that there should be .bup files here, which I have no means of retrieving. These files listed above plays the movie correctly on PowerDVD etc.

Does that mean that I have no possibilty to write back the movie to a DVD-R, whether using DVD Shrink or another program?

Your file structure doesn't contain the proper structure,I would guess you ripped in movie or ifo mode. These modes don't create the files needed by DVD Shrink to open. Re-rip in file mode and it will open in DVD Shrink.
If you don't have the disk you could create a new set of ifo files for the vob's with IFOEDIT.
