  1. I seem to be having problems making back-ups of my DVD collection that work on the PS2. The problem is that some work and some don't. I pop the disc in the PS2 and the picture quality is perfect but it's green. This changes from back-up to back-up. The same film plays in green no matter the rip and burn method. This also ranges from region 1, 2 and 3, there doesn't seem to be any pattern to it at all. It also doesn't matter which media I am using. I have used DVDDecrypter with IC7 and have now tried DVDShrink with Nero and the results are the same. Is this a known issue with everyone with no cure or should I be looking at trying something else for a 100% useable back-up of all my DVD's for use with the PS2.

    Many Thanks

The PS2 is using a piss-poor software decoder.

It is ALSO supremely picky about which media it plays well, or at all.

That said, I'd examine your method, since you ought to be able to, given the same media in constant use, make discs that do play.

  3. Thanks for the info, it turns out that the TV has to be switched manually between PAL & NTSC unlike the main TV which is auto.

    Thanks for your help
