    I have a dvd player that claims it can play vcd's., but in the manual it says it will not play cds's or cdrw's. When I download movies off the internet I do not know which format it is. My question is, can I download an avi or movie recorded by a video camera, convert to mpg or mpeg, convet to dvd or vcd, burn it to a cdr, and play it on my dvd player?

    vdub >> frame server >> tmpgenc/lsx/cce. You will need the proper codec for vdub.
