  1. made files with vcd gear....then in the tmpenc im merging them.

sometime....and recently with the texas chainsaw files it says there not compatible. ONLY HAVE THIS PROBLEM ONCE IN AWHILE...BUT ITS AGGRAVATING?

nothin wrong with the files...actually watched the svcd and its fine?
did this to me when i was merging the matchstickmen files to?

once it happens you cant go any farther and then im stuck..lol.

SO IS THERE A BETTER PROG FOR MERGING THE FILES? ITS THE 2ND STEP RIGHT BEFORE I MAKE THE [MERGED FILE] COMPLIANT USING MAINCONCEPT PROGRAM

    ANY HELP WOULD BE APPRECIATED!!

  2. One reason why an mpeg may not be able to merge is because of different resolutions, so if the files you made in vcd gear were batch, make sure that the settings are the same for both or all files that you create

This leads me to believe that the mpegs aren't encoded by you, but from a (S)VCD or (S)VCD image, so how do you know that they are encoded using the same setting? Not just resolution matters, but bitrates too. My guss is that the two mpegs aren't encoded exactly to the same specs.
