There are as many different answers to this post as there are programs that can do it. I use Surething because it is so easy to use, not just for DVD labels, but for most labels I make (CDs, VHS spines, etc.).
    Hello.

  4. I've been trying to find a good answer for this question for awhile.
I'm not looking for a Label-Printer program where you take a ready-made image and lay it on a template and then send it to your printer. There are several programs that do this: Nero's lable maker, Express It and others.

I've been looking for BETTER tutorials using Photoshop that shows how to expand images into the spines of the dvd cases.

The best site so far is dvdcoverart.com. They have downloadable studio images and logos that are presized to fit on dvd-case templates in Photoshop. They also have the best tutorial I've seen on cleaning up scanned images.

Most tutorials are too basic: How to open an image, how to resize the image, blah, blah. Even this site has a tutorial that is very basic in Photoshop.

Better sites for dvd covers are cdcovers.cc and dvdcoverart.com. (The latter costs money, but very cheap, and the quality is superb!)

But what if you can't find your cover? Go to dvdempire.com. They have the front and back images to most movies. (You must click on the icon to supersize it- then download it.) But what about the spines? How do you recreate some of the images and typography onto blank spines?

Any help with this last question?
