  1. I'm new to the DVD burner scene. I have a Pioneer DVD writer. I can sucessfully copy my DVD movies onto a DVD-RW disk. When I try to use a DVD +R I get rather expensive coaster. What can I do to record on the "R" disks?

I've had some problems burning DVD +Rs (with Sony DVD writer). I've found that Nero had less trouble than other DVD burn programs. I've also found that if I burn to a DVD-R, DVD-RW or DVD+R then I can use the disk-copy of Easy CD-DVD Creator to copy that to a +R disk.

  3. what specifically is it doing?
I was having a few issues till I updated to the latest version of xcopy

also found that using some herrie hacked firmware has ended my days of creating coasters.

  4. On a +R DVD disk, DVD X Copy Express says the burn was sucessful, but the reader cannot read the disk. I just bought some -R disks and they work fine.
