  1. Here is my configuration: XP 2200 512 meg ram, 120 gig ata133 drive, Asus TV FM card, Sound Blaster MP3 Audigy. I capture from tv/sat via composite input, typically using DVD Workshop. When I playback on my pc with WinDVD, I get no left channel on my audio. If I run the test on creative mixer, I get sound output on the left channel just fine. I can open any of my mp3 files, and they have left channel output just fine. I authored with DVD Architect, and encoded to AC3 on render. All help greatly appreciated.

BTW, this site rocks. I lurk and read daily now for 2 months and the knowledge has been extremely helpful.

I think WinDVD sucks. Could be the problem. Then again, could be something else.

Sounds like something's going wrong in the encoding to AC3 audio doesn't it?

Did you say whether you'd tried this on your standalone?

    cheers,

It sounds like you have a bad audio cable from the TV/SAT to the sound card. Or it could be what you are receiving is mono. Do you get the right channel when you just listen to the TV/SAT and not capture. Could also be one channel on the sound card muted. Your info to us was a little vague.
