  1. I'm not a newbie of this site I just don't post alot I try to search here and all over the net to find answers.

    Well wanted to know if there is any dvd that can't be backed up period.I just go a sony 510a dual and started backing up my dvd collection. I use DVDshrink

    In general, anything that's digital can be copied. So, to say that any DVD (or at least the content of) can be copied can not be proven untrue. It may be harder or easier, but not impossible.

    I've had no luck with "Independance Day" (R4)

    I just can't rip it to my HD, ah well no great loss.

    Minchjp - And... do you have enough space to rip to? I see you have 15 Gig listed in your profile. That fills up quickly. Perhaps check that? :c)

    And if it is scratched, it may barf. You need to tell your ripper to skip over the error. Search 'cleaning dvd' for tips on solving skips.

  7. If you are still having problems with a specific disk, try again with another ripper. I have had great success with SmartRipper.
