How can i increase the sound level and reencode the divx?

You can use a program called goldwave. Open your divx file and go to the effects tab. Then go down to volume and select maximize. You will be prompted to do a do a few things that will maximize the volume of the audio file. Finally save out a new wav file and then update the screen with the new wav.
I use this method when converting divx to dvd.
You may then nned to multiplex the new wv with the video portion of your original divx.
