  1. First, let me say, I did a search here and on google and couldn't find anything appropriate. Here's the situation. I have 2 small dvds I wanted to put on 1 backup (the 2 originals are 20 minutes each and 1 layer). I ripped them to my HD using DVD decryptor (select all .BUP/VOB files). I verified that the files have sound by playing them in a DVD program.

If I burn the files belonging to just one DVD (either one) using *Nero* 6 and making the DVD by dragging all the VOB files to the VIDEO_TS folder- it all burns and plays fine, both audio and video. But if I try to put the files beloning to both DVDs into 1 VIDEO_TS folder, it won't play correctly.

If I use *Nerovision* and add video tracks, say 2_1.VOB from each of the 2 videos, or even just from 1 DVD, I get no sound, but the video is perfect.

So can anyone help me? I tried the Ulead Movie Factory 2 but that would involve transcoding the sound layer and I wanted it to be easy. I also went into IFOedit and changed the sound properties from AC3 to LPCM for Nerovision, but that didn't help either.

I don't know what else to try or what other software might work.

    Thanks

Re-number the vob files VTS_01_1.VOB,VTS_01_2.VOB,etc. Then use IFOEDIT to create a new set of ifo files for the re-nimbered vob files.

  4. aside from that though, why isn't nerovision giving me sound when making a dvd from a 1:1 rip? pure nero does from the same files.

  5. I am stupid.
Is there a guide to take me thru this?
I opened the 4 renumbered VOB files in IFOedit (I tried it opening all 4 and also again just opening the first- same result). The only choice available is menu: VOB EXTRAS> create IFOs. DVD authoring is greyed out. I selected the destination and ran it. It looked like it was running ok, but no file was created.

    ???
