  1. I have normal homemade dvd of my friends party. He would like to break it down into chapters and reburn with ulead etc. Now what is the best way to get the video and break it up into parts. Thanks!

    reading the guides at left would be a good place to start.

    How To: DVD Rip -> gets the material off the original disc
    How To: Edit -> cleans it up, cuts it up and moves it around
    How To: Author -> makes menus, inserts chapters, creates the files to burn.

    I kinda figured out the last two. But I don't have to decode it. I not sure which one is the best way to take the video off the dvd to a usable file in TMPGenc.

  4. I don't use TMPGEnc but you can demux vob files with it. Not sure it just doesn't accept them as input straight out.
